The British Library

 Thanks to my aunt for sending me over to my favorite place i.e British Library for the first time of my life. My long sought after aspiration. Though the visit was entirely regarding the execution of my aunt’s professional purpose but ultimately it turned out to be my own bonus as well at the end of the day.Don’t consider it as from the monetary perspective rather it was all about enrichment. Be it it’s enormous reading rooms comprising countless books organized in an immaculate fashion or its advanced ultramodern systems, it completely amazed me.  Momentarily, it felt like a church which bestowed upon me immense tranquility, where I could have slipped by hours after hours, immersed myself into the ocean of books. 

I got enthralled with its expansive collection especially with the rare book section. Never anticipated that I could ever have a glance at those antique books in its original prints. Such a delight! It engulfed my mind with a certain peace finding students engrossed with their respective research assignments unbothered by any turmoil of this world. Right away, I reminisced how once I used to chase after such things in my life as well. 

Nevertheless, after devouring the entire scene from these reading rooms, I headed towards another room occupied with an exhibition. Here, you would be able to come across diverse spellbinding collections which you would not be able to find anywhere else. I was obviously in ecstasy  for discovering amazing pieces from my native land India and had to admit that in this scenario, I was content with the authority’s commendable maintenance and preservation of our precious items. 

 Atlast, we paid our visit to its gift shop which indulged me with its lucrative gift items and persuaded my crunched pocket to purchase some of them. Be it some quaint books or captivating collectibles, I was totally washed out with its magnificence.

Finally pouring my tote bag with bounty of quality moments spent in the library and some amazing items as well, I took my leave of this place only to resolute myself with my next visit there soon.
