Greenwich and Canary Wharf
For quite some time it had been my profound urge to witness manhattan of NYC once again. Unfortunately it can’t have any doppelgänger in this earth since it is one and only gem of a place. Therefore I was scanning in google for atleast a mini substitute in UK. Finally it unraveled a little ray of hope.
Have you ever heard about Canary Wharf? If not then look out for it in google and you will be astonished to learn that people sometimes consider this place as manhattan of UK. This the financial hub of UK. You will emerge from the tube station in Canary Wharf , which is inhabited in the eastern bank of river Thames and at once skyscrapers of banking sectors like EY, HSBC etc will offer you an warm welcome. I can testify that your jaw will drop for a moment while you will find flock of towering buildings are encircling part of Thames river like a garland.
Well, to tell you honestly, this may not be a look alike to the enormous manhattan but definitely a miniature version, I might attach. The best aspect seemed, its by the bank of Thames hence the river dwells in adjacent areas. The cool breeze of the river will put some effort to make you feel as if you’re amidst winter season though. Consequently, you will contemplate if you should put on your windcheater or not. But take my tip, you won’t need it during summer or even in late spring. Its just the riverside fresh, pleasant breeze to rejuvenate your soul.
After you zip up your Canary Wharf chapter and wondering how to head off Greenwich, then let me uplift your mind. You can sail through the river by uber boat and arrive at Greenwich within ten minutes. Doesn’t that sound cool? Yes, get into the gorgeous looking boat and bask in its comfortable indoor and outdoor decks while hovering over the glittering river water by the big size windows. Soon you’ll reach your another sought after destination and bid farewell to your water carrier.
The moment I landed in Greenwich, it seemed to captivate my heart with its inherent charm. Its bank had turned into a vibrant fairground. Fun filled joyrides, infinite food stalls flooded with lip smacking delicacies from various regions of the world will soar up your enthusiasm graph by another level. Though I couldn’t gear up for visit to my another bucket listed destination, The Royal Observatory, due to fatigue and my nagging back ache but I compensated it with my strolling around the vivacious high streets of Greenwich. But unlike me, don’t miss your Royal Observatory tour and Greenwich Park out otherwise you may regret afterwards.Another aspect of this trip, which. I enjoyed thoroughly was the astounding view of Canary Wharf’s skyline from Greenwich bank. At the end, it appeared to be the greatest pull in for the day to take back home.
