The Post remains strong
After pretty dilemma storming in my mind, finally I gave my consent to
watch The Post, directed by none other than Stephen Spielberg and acted
by two of my favorite Hollywood actors, Meryl Strip and of course Tom
Hanks. You must be wondering why I was half-heartened to watch this
movie initially despite having my favorites. But the fact is, I have
come to know that this movie encompasses the role of the United States
in the then Vietnam war and this topic is hardly known to me. Being a
Non-American, it was a little difficult for me to gather confidence to
watch it at the same time comprehending it properly. Nevertheless,
terminating every other perplexities, I watched it and I relished it
thoroughly. The way they portrayed the underlying suppressed anxiety and
excitement at the same time was laudable. Especially, it was awestruck
to watch two of the powerful actors at this age perform so
spontaneously. Another significant aspect of that movie was, it's
exceedingly relevant in today's scenario, while freedom of press is at
stake in the intolerant governance of Donald Trump. Overall after this
entire experience, it seemed that, this is gonna grab plenty of awards
this time and my best wishes are there.
