Padmaavat : A Tale of Controversy

Today, that is 25th of January must be counted as a historical day as it witnesses the release of much-controversial movie, Padmaavat brushing aside every kind of obstacles in it's path. It's been quite a while since the crisis regarding this movie has been going around. Crisis spilled all across North India over this piece of art. It often disappoints me how come people have become slothful to this extent that they find no other works apart from bothering others over mere a release of a movie! Intolerance has become so widespread that, the vandals out there have lost their mind and running after least significant factors for example, entertainment here. Rather these foolish "revolutionists" must adopt their swords in protests of much more relevant and crucial issues occurring in contemporary India, like Rape, religious duels, caste discrimination and the list goes on. I often contemplate on the matter of fact that how on earth women have written their names in protest against screening of Padmaavat. However, let's move on to the details prevailing in this movie.
The movie Padmaavat encompasses the incident, when Queen Padmaavati of Chitor along with all other women of that city sacrificed their precious lives by committing self-immolation when sultan of Delhi Alauddin Khilji assaulted their fort unjustly after being obsessed with the unparalleled beauty and grace of Queen Padmini alias Padmaavati. Though history denies any such happenings as it at the same time lacks any information regarding the existence of such a queen ever. According to mythology, especially poet Jayasi portrayed Rani Padmini as an epitome of chastity, who could never compromise her purity in the hands of vulgar Khilji, being a rightful queen of Rana Ratan Singh. However, interest enhances when Alauddin falls for Rani after seeing her reflection over a mirror and this entire event was arranged by none other than her own husband Ratan Singh.
Such an intriguing plot certainly calls for huge attention. That's why it becomes uncontrollable when this story gets its shape in a movie and we can't resist ourselves from witnessing this controversial production. Especially when it comes to the performers, who better than Deepika, Ranveer and Shahid available in the industry and while every inch of it gets moulded by the director come artist Sanjay Leela Bhansali himself.
Hence, undoubtedly, no way to miss this opportunity to watch this out, I am going to watch it on tomorrow and hope to find some of you out there. I will get back to you with it's review as soon as I experience it. Adios.
