I am rejuvenated with a kind of fresh energy since yesterday, returning from our much-needed vacation. This time, it was not like any of our expensive flight journeys rather it happened to be an adventurous road trip commencing from our own sunshine state Florida up to the nation's capital, Washington D.C.  Surprisingly, this long drive never left us exhausted, except of few strains in my legs, which were nothing noteworthy. Anyway, now let's move on to my experiences, I gathered in last few days while vacationing. Our road trip began on last Friday occupying our car trunk with tons of luggage, food items, magazines etc. It was almost an unplanned trip without a single determined destination in our mind. This time, we intended to wander wherever our eyes go without any fixation. Keeping it in mind, we kept driving for about 8 to 9 hours at a stretch on the initial day, ultimately stopping at Asheville in North Carolina. The picturesque beauty of this place made our stay there more effective. Surrounding hills everywhere, seemed as if these were touching and somewhat merging with the blue sky which generated a strange blue hue all over the place. Maybe, for that reason, this range of Appalachian is addressed as Blue Ridge Mountain. As if mother nature has decorated this abode with her very own hand providing abundant supplies of natural beauties in an extravagant way. This small, hill town made me awestruck by its treasure of art, music, and culture. It's culinary aspect was nothing less praiseworthy in fact. Hence, quenching our wanderlust wholeheartedly, at Asheville, finally, we gave it a start towards Virginia. While driving towards Virginia, our roadside scenic beauties literally dropped my jaw for several times. Because, it was completely unexpected to me that, a city like Virginia could be so picturesque. The vista of the green hills comprising lush, green valleys, with wandering cattle adorning the entire scenario seemed to me picture perfect. Especially, when we arrived at our next destination named, Luray Cavern located at Virginia, the scenic beauty got transformed gradually into more intensive phenomena. How could minerals deposited in underground millions of years ago, generate such a diverse and extensive amount of rock formations, was unbelievable without witnessing this natural wonder. Another laurel leaf added to my crown was, my two night's stay at Hyatt Regency Hotel in Virginia for the very first time may be last as well. Each and every little occurrence there seemed to me dream-like. Never imagined that one day I could spend nights at such grand hotels ever in my life. Anyway, after such unparalleled experiences gathered, finally we moved towards the nation's capital, that is, Washington D.C in order to witness the noted 4th July celebration. I cherished the Independence Day Parade at the Constitution Avenue like never before, as it resembled a fair where diverse colors, cultures amalgamated in full spirit. Apart from all these entertainments, which mostly drew my attention were my visits to the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History and The Holocaust Museum respectively. The Natural History museum left me in awe because of its extensive collection of rare and at the same time precious items. The demonstration of human history seemed exceedingly impressive and quite adequate to generate the flames of curiosity regarding our ancient history. The most atrocious experience I gathered in this whole trip, was at The Holocaust Museum. Ever since I became acquainted with the pathetic history of the Holocaust, it had been my desire to visit this museum once at least. This experience transported me to the contemporary era at Europe, where humanity was eradicated through the monstrous Nazism for a quite while. An unfamiliar kind of sorrow as if was struck in my throat while penetrating the devastating history at that museum, which is difficult to convey into words. Another two major unfulfilled achievements which I accomplished this time were my visits to Lincoln Memorial and more importantly the White House. Here, unfortunately, my long-awaited trip attained its ultimatum and we commenced our return journey with a heavy heart. But, at the same time, it's true that beautiful happenings do not sustain for a long, somewhere it has to end in order to give our journey of life a very new, fresh start all over. Therefore, my holiday passed wonderfully, leaving numerous memories to cherish for the rest of my life.
