The Best City I Have Ever Visited

 I have been bestowed with an excellent fortune to witness New York City not only once but four times in my lifetime. Yes this is the city I feel most fortunate to come across so far. 

I can distinctly recall my dormant exhilaration to have a glimpse of this unparalleled cosmopolitan city for the very first time I set my feet there back in 2015. The moment I left JFK airport of New York and mingled into the crowds of New York subway to land this magical city named NYC, I kept my fingers crossed throughout as it took some time for me to digest the fact that I was in reality going to live my dream of encountering the most charming city of the world. The moment I touched the ground of Time Square leaving the station, right once I comprehended why everyone aspires to experience this city of ecstacy. Enormous sky-scrappers took my breath away right the moment I caught the glimpse of those at Times Square and kept gazing at them for few minutes incessantly. My jaw literally dropped when I obtained this magnificent sight and kept contemplating on how a city can be so gorgeous ! Vibrant colors scattered in every nook and corner through giant screens and various apparels decked up by countless busy pedestrians, appeared to me as a palette consisting various shades of colors. This glittering sight will certainly dazzle your eyes in a good way, when you will visit this quaint realm. People belonging to NYC itself and other tourists coming from various places remain walking down the streets embellished with glamorous apparels which certainly calls for a second stare at them though it’s kind of forbidden there. Apart from these gorgeous sights there lay several remarkable existences which grabbed my attention in an instant for instance, The Madame Tussaud's Museum which thoughI couldn’t experience properly due to crunch of time. But I witnessed some of the samples of it which seemed adequate to comprehend its worldwide fame as the unparalleled wax statue maker and I determined myself to explore this gem of a museum sometime later when I will visit this place once again.

After getting bowled out  by Time Square, I diverted my second leg of the trip towards the iconic Brooklyn Bridge which has been an evergreen hotspot for shootings especially Bollywood movies. Since childhood, perhaps every Indian kid aspires to encounter this dreamy bridge to amalgamate with their favorite movie scenes. It felt amazing when the cool breeze touched us and we could catch the glimpse of passing l boats in the Hudson River flowing underneath this signature bridge. Multitude of stalls inhabited one after another like beads in a string adorn the pavements beneath this Brooklyn bridge which adds surplus essence to its charm. I remember, we purchased a fascinating portrait of NYC skyline from one of these stalls and some magnets as well to present my dear ones.

Accomplishing some brief shopping and making my shopping bag slight heavy, I commenced to move on towards Manhattan anticipating to witness some hotspots there, for instance The Empire State Building, One World, 9/11 memorial, The very famous Bull etc. It seemed fascinating to encounter these much buzzy iconic landmarks and capture those moments by snatching bounty of pictures one after another.

Here I must suggest, if you folks are having shortage of time in your grasp like me, then don’t undergo sorrow, regrets for not catching glimpses of all those remarkable landmarks.  Hop on Hop off bus remains always available to quench your longing for exploration of these dream destinations. Trust me, you will feel sheer ecstasy while experiencing this joy ride. Your manhattan experience will definitely ascend to its zenith while you will mount the summit of The Empire State Building and grab the magnificent sight of this charming city from its surface. Witnessing it, you can set your feet at the site of 9/11 Memorial which though renders excruciating pain suffered by the victims and it will certainly make your heart heavy with their grief but still I suggest to visit this place in order to share solidarity with those innocent suffers and their pain-stricken families. Loaded with sigh you can then rejuvinate your soul by transgressing your another leg of this once in a lifetime trip by  visiting the unparalleled Staten Island in order to grab the ultimate signature of the States, Statue of Liberty harbored at Liberty Island. You can savor this voyage through the ferry, which surprisingly doesn’t charge a single penny from tourists. You will absolutely bask in the cool breeze emerging from the Hudson river while you will be undergoing this laid back ferry experience.

Meanwhile, you  don’t forget to preserve some fuel for the second inning of your tour as this too will bestow upon you some best of the experiences you have ever encountered. Till then worship your hunger stricken tummy with some extraordinary delicacies offered by this enchanting city.  As this is a cultural epicenter, several cultures have amalgamated here in the shape of foods by initiating their emblematic restaurants. For instance, Piccola Cocina, Bleecker Street pizza, Street Symphony etc and many more food junctions will certainly maintain a satisfactory smile on your face throughout your supper there. Just an extra tip here: if you are a Bengali, then you can fly in the seventh heaven out of ecstasy as you can discover several authentic Bengali restaurants to offer you finger-licking experiences here. In this foody matters, you can comb raid Trip Advisor as it will usher you proper entrance in this regard. 

This ever awakened city in the night time wont even cease to wrap your  exhausted soul with its own aura like a therapy. Especially Times Square in this regard will dethrone any other spots and coronate herself a s the queen of relentless entertainment. This incessantly buzzy hub won’t eve let you feel languished and make you exhausted for slumber after your daylong exploration as it will shower upon you surprise after surprise like its vibrant billboards, advertisements, its Broadway Theater District etc.
