It's been three months since Gully Boy released and till then I have been longing for watching it like a thirsty bird amidst the scorching heat of summer. But several obstacles have acted as thorns of cactus all over my path to get my mission accomplished.  Nevertheless I have been succeeded to watch it on yesterday on television finally. Let me tell you, I couldn't get a single excuse to go to the loo for it being so gripping. Let's sail from the very origin.

Gully Boy is basically a story of an young, shy boy from the largest slum of India, Dharavi, who despite being a driver out of compulsion, rears an aspiring mind to accomplish his dormant ambition of becoming a Rapper. Though people surrounding him even his family members often admonish him regarding his current social status and disapprove his dream, he never yields in, rather he murmurs, "Apna time ayega". It is a story which displays the upgrade and downgrade of Gully Boy, Murad's life graph, how he weaves in several realistic lyrics on his own and transforms them into hard raps and finally gives them shape which steal hearts of millions and transforms his fate forever. Throughout his entire journey he encountered with some beautiful minds, which cooperated him to ride his ladder  of success. Especially his childhood friends and last but not the least his long time sweet heart though a little bully Alia. Alia has transcended her performance by her extraordinary skills beyond Ranveer to my opinion. Ranveer's acting can be undoubtedly discovered as matured, restrained, entirely different from his previous endeavors but still I would say, Alia has surpassed him through her phenomenal acting efficiency. This girl is honing her acting capabilities day by day I must say. However, overall I thoroughly basked in witnessing this extraordinary production by Zoya Akhtar, who has always been proved herself to be an intelligent director. I definitely recommend everyone out there to hold a schedule and experience this outstanding creation in television.
